While conversing with his parents, Andy told them that there must be a good reason why he did not die and that he was grateful that he was still alive. At the time, what his health instructor, Mr. Johnson, was saying didn't seem to make too much sense to Andy. Now that he almost passed away, conversely, he felt that he should have listened more alertly in Mr. Johnson's health class and applied what he had learned to his personal life.
Andy notified his parents that he couldn't wait to go back to the classroom and apologize to Mr. Johnson for not paying closer attention to something that was as noteworthy as learning about alcohol poisoning.
